FMS Believe in you Dreams

This is the card I came up with for the Sketch 271 over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I have been trying my hand at watercoloring a little more and decided I wanted to us the clouds from Stampin' Up's Sprinkles of Life.  I stamped them first on Strathmore Bristol smooth surface paper then in the same color, Soft Sky, I watered down the ink in the lid and painted it around the clouds.   Next, I used a new stamp to me, a dollar bin one from Michael's by Hampton Arts, I stamped the sentiment in Dapper Denim.  This stamp had butterflies on it but I choose to us my butterflies embosslit from SU instead.  The color I used is Flirty Flamingo.  I used the lawn fawn stitch die at the bottom of the layer and string at the top.  Mounted on Soft sky and it was done.  Well that is until I decided a Wink of Stella on the clouds would be the final finishing touch.

Here's the Sketch.

Love is in the Air!

The color challenge this week over at Splitcoaststampers is Very Vanilla, Basic Grey and Rose Red.  Through me off at first, I thought it was white.  So, I made two.  One white, then I went back an made another with the Very Vanilla.

Now, if you look at them, the one on the top looks like white, haha, it's not boy can the camera and lighting fool you.  The stamp set I used was Bella & Friends, I omitted the parrot.  The sentiment is computer generated and the love  die is from impression obsession.

Hope you get to craft today.

FMS270 I have you!

Who needs a therapist?  and on the inside, I have you!  I had fun with this one, and I don't mean in a good way.  You really do get what you pay for, I bought this stamp at the dollar store and I tried multiple times to stamp the sentiment and it was always blotchy.  Ended up embossing it in white on Night of Navy cardstock.  The DSP is an SU scrap.  Love the girl with the wine, if you know who she is from let me know.  I colored her with pencil crayons and gamsol, my new favorite way to color.  Wonder why it took me so long to try this method?  Hop on over to Freshly Made Sketches to see the rest of the wonderful FMS270 posts.

Have a Inkredibly great day.

A Cut Above

This card I made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge 269.  I am really, really trying to use stamps that I've had for ages that haven't been inked or at least not in a long time.  This stamp set I got at ACMoore ages ago in the dollar bin.  I took it out of the original packaging in haven't a clue who the manufacturer is.  Anyway, stamped the ruler in Night of navy and also the craft knife and sentiment.  The pink piece is retired SU ribbon and I layer it on Pear Pizzaz.  The sentiment is layered on Melon Mambo and I colored knife with the Pear Pizzaz.  added a few star sequins and a few dimensionals.  and that's it.

Dance

Beautiful You has got to my favorite stamp set that Stampin' Up has come out with in ages.  So fun to color, great sentiments and a wonderful font.  For this card I colored her with color pencils and gamsol then omitted part of the sentiment on the dance and live, laugh, love stamps.  I the image out with Cottage Cutz stitched dies and also the layer from Brushed Silver Metallic.  I then layered them on the card base which was stamped with Gorgeous Grunge using the same Smoky Slate ink I used to stamp both the girl and and sentiments.

Have a happy Stampin' Day.
