Such a fun sketch this week over at Freshly Made Sketches It's simplicity makes it so that the images have to take center stage. For my card my first thought was that I wanted to use my sand dollar die from Gina Marie Designs. I cut it out with watercolor paper and sponged on SU's Baked Brown Sugar. Then I was stuck. A few days later it came to me, the retired SU set, Beautiful Beach, the shells are the right size to go with the sand dollar. I heat embossed the shell onto the front of the card with white EP then used SU Blushing Bride and Baked Brown Sugar to watercolor the shell. After that I decided I wanted to fussy cut the shell and then make a background for them. I used Salty Ocean distress ink mixed with Sheer Shimmer Spritz. Put the card base into the mixture and played around until I got something I was satisfied with. Then on the bottom I sponged a bit of Baked Brown Sugar to mimic the beach. I used dimensionals to pop up the sand dollar and then added the sentiment from the same set, Beautiful Beach by stamping it in Versafine black ink and heat embossing with clear EP.
Inkingly yours,
Heather
