Stampin' Up's card is to vibrant, I just fell in love with it. It is on page 18 and uses the new popular set called Eastern Palace. Jury is still out on whether or not I need this set. But in the mean time, below is my card with what I have on hand.
My card started with me thinking about the pretty DSP Eastern Palace Specialty DSP. I went to my Brights stack and got the Pacific Point paper and then took my Emerald Envy marker to it and added the green. Quite brilliant if you ask me. The Lucky Limeade piece at the back was just Whisper White sponged with Twisted Citron Distress Ink. Since I don't have the cute Mini Sequin Trim I had to substitute it with a thin strip of Gold Foil Cardstock. The sentiment from Lotus Blooms (R) was stamped in Eggplant Envy and die cut with my KUUQA stitched circles from Amazon The background used two sets Fresh Vintage(R) and Mixed Bunch(R). Emerald Envy is the color of the base.
Having so much fun, let me know if you've taken the challenge and where I can find your cards.
Happy Stampin'
Heather

Wow! Love this. Your card looks great and yes that is brilliant adding color to the DSP. I love this idea. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI like that you placed your strips lower on the card rather than in the middle like the sample.
ReplyDeletethe ONLY difference I see is that you didn't emboss your paper? The CASEing you're doing is in "cases" better, or even prettier than the original.
ReplyDeleteI really WISH I didn't feel the NEED to buy as much as I do.
